Terms of Use

Last updated: September 1, 2026

These terms govern your use of berkanium.net ("the Site"). By browsing the Site or submitting any of its forms, you accept them. They are deliberately written in plain language — if anything is unclear, ask: hello@berkanium.net.

1. What this site is

The Site is the personal technology website of Berkan Yılmaz. It publishes technical articles, showcases work, describes services and trainings, and provides forms through which you can request a project, consulting or a training. Nothing on the Site constitutes a binding offer; submitting a form starts a conversation, not a contract.

2. Content and intellectual property

  • Articles, images, diagrams and other original content on the Site are the intellectual property of the site owner unless otherwise stated.
  • You may quote brief excerpts from articles with attribution and a link to the original. Republishing full articles without written permission is not allowed.
  • Code snippets published in articles may be used freely in your own projects, commercial or otherwise, without attribution — they are provided as examples. They come with no warranty (see Section 4).
  • Third-party trademarks, product names and logos mentioned in articles (e.g. in integration guides) belong to their respective owners; their mention does not imply endorsement in either direction.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, its administration area or its infrastructure;
  • use the forms to send spam, unlawful content, or malicious attachments;
  • scrape the Site at a volume that degrades it for others, or bypass its rate limits;
  • impersonate another person or entity when submitting a form.

Submissions that violate these rules may be deleted without notice and, where the law requires, reported.

4. No warranty — read this one

Articles on this Site describe technical approaches that worked in specific contexts at the time of writing. Technology moves; APIs change; your context differs. All content is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind — express or implied — including fitness for a particular purpose. Test everything in your own environment before relying on it, especially anything touching payments, tax compliance, security or production infrastructure. Nothing on the Site constitutes legal, financial or tax advice.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the site owner is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of the Site or its content — including losses caused by acting on information in articles or code samples. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid to use the Site, which is zero.

6. Forms and communications

Submitting a project, consulting or training form does not create any obligation on either side. Any actual engagement — scope, fees, deadlines, confidentiality — will be agreed separately in writing. Personal data submitted through forms is handled as described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

7. External links

Articles link to external documentation, products and papers. Those sites have their own terms and privacy practices; the Site is not responsible for their content or availability. A link is a reference, not an endorsement.

8. Availability

The Site is provided on a best-effort basis. It may be modified, suspended or taken offline at any time without notice. Reasonable effort is made to keep published article URLs stable.

9. Governing law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye; courts of Istanbul have jurisdiction over any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably. These terms may be updated from time to time — the "last updated" date reflects the current version, and continued use of the Site after a change constitutes acceptance.
